He has also led professional legal groups and mentored younger attorneys. His varied background includes experience in technology, military service, and law, which informs his practical and organized approach to writing.

Now semi-retired, Agranoff lives in Ellington, Connecticut, with his wife. He enjoys tournament backgammon, travel, fine dining, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
